    At 3:43 p.m. on Wednesday December 11, 2019, Local members responded to an animal water rescue behind the Colorado Athletic Club at 374 Inverness Parkway. A French Bulldog was on a leash and being walked by its human on the trail when it gave chase to Goose. The leash slipped out of the owner’s control and the dog found itself on the icy pond, struggling with the Goose.

    Retired Chief Charles Fillmore

    Metro-Dade Firefighters regret to announce the passing of Retired Chief Charles Fillmore Jr. on December 8, 2019. Charles was hired on 10/15/1954 and retired on 02/25/1984. He was 94 years old and also one of the first Firefighters hired with Metro Dade.  May he Rest in Peace. There will be services held at: Fred Hunter 6301 Taft St. Hollywood,FL 10:00 am.

    The 2020 Retiree open enrollment has started until January 10th, 2020.  You shall receive, if you have not already, via USPS a letter with premium information based on Plan you are currently enrolled for 2019.  If you make no changes to your coverage it will continue 2020.
    Local 21 regrets to announce the passing of Retired FEO John LaClair

         Local 21 regrets to announce the passing of Retired FEO John LaClair.  FEO LaClair started with Saint Paul fire Department on March 15, 1958 and retired on July 13, 1990.  FEO LaClair’s Funeral service will be 6:00P.M. – Thursday, at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.  Father David Forsman will officiate.
    Lake Firefighters Roll out the 2020 Rescue Me Calendar

    The Professional Firefighters of Lake County are releasing our all new Rescue Me wall calendar for 2020. The calendar features pictures of our firefighters with animals from the Lake County Animal Shelter and our firetrucks. The calendar is only $10 and all proceeds from the calendar will be donated to the Lake County Animal Shelter to help pets find a furever home.

    Farewell To A Friend Denise D'Ascenzo

    We are all shocked to hear the news of the passing of Denise D’Ascenzo, a long-time friend of Fire Fighters in CONNECTICUT. The Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut offers our sincere condolences to her Family on this tremendous loss.

    Modesto City Firefighters 2020 Crab Feed and Installation Banquet will be held on Febuary 15th, 2020 at the Stanislaus Veterans Hall located at 3500 Coffee Rd, starting with cocktail hour at 5pm. Tickets for this event are 55$ and can be purchased at the link below. All proceeds for this event will go towards our Widows & Orphans fund.

    The Richard Garner Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the life of City of Madison Firefighter/Paramedic Richard Garner Jr. who died in the line of duty on April 1, 2018.

    Just before 3:40am on Wednesday, November 27th, Local members responded to a reported commercial fire in the 10600 block of S. Parker Road.  Parker Police Department got on scene and confirmed a fire on the roof, upgrading the call to a working commercial structure fire. Members arrived to find the fire located on the roof of Denver Auto Company. Tower 45 positioned on Parker Rd.

Current and past members were able to learn about various aspects of the department's history along with various items that Mr. Pinkham brought with him. We would like to express our thanks to both Mr. Pinkham and Battalion Chief Jeff Rheaume for putting this together.

    Here are the results for the 2019 Election. There will be a run-off for the 3 principal officers positions as no candidate received a majority. Ballot will be mailed out next week.     Just after 17:00 on November 21st, 2019 Local 2086 and 4116 members responded to an MVA with extrication needed on northbound I-25 between Castle Pines Pkwy and Ridgegate Pkwy in Surrey Ridge. First arriving Engine 36 reported multiple vehicles across the highway, assumed command and requested the northbound lanes be closed.

    Today, November 22nd, marks the 30th Anniversary of the passing of FF John Marques who died in the Line of Duty due to occupational cancer. May he continue to Rest In Peace.
    Annual Holiday Food Drive
